Be sure not to miss this exciting finale to the Chorale’s season! The Chorale, with soloists and orchestra, will present Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem – a stirring oratorio, written between WWI and WWII in response to the worsening political situation in Europe. Vaughan Williams sets the poetry of Walt Whitman to music alternately triumphant and serene to convey the disruptive nature of war and the sweetness of reconciliation. To conclude the concert and the season, the Chorale will perform the finale of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony – a timeless masterpiece whose unforgettable music and joyful message will be sure to dazzle your ears and fill your heart.
